Play4Learn
Play4Learn is a proposed app that aims to help designers and educators build knowledge and skills by inspiring them to discover inspiration sources in their daily lives and to enhance positive interaction and information exchange between the two groups.
ParenThesis
ParenThesis is a mobile app that connects parents to become “exchange tutors” for children from different families. The app aims to form mutal assistance between families by pairing families with different strengths and professional backgrounds.
EmotionBlock
EmotionBlock is a block-based physical toolkit for PreK children to explore emotion management skills and social skills through storytelling and reflecting. It also enables adults to guide children through the storytelling process using the database, which collects and tracks children’s storytelling data.
FinLit
FinLit is a game for learning financial literacy. Users will enter a FinLit pixel world to learn about financial literacy concepts by watching tutorial videos, win combats, and complete missions. The game is implemented using RPG Maker.
Artstander
Artstander is a five-week internship program. Through the lense of art and fashion, The Artstander program focuses on developing technological literacies across institutions, strengthening student identity as burgeoning leaders, and amplifying their voices in community advocacy.
DreamToy
DreamToy is a co-design project with a kid to design and make a toy that she wants. I designed, laser cut, and 3d printed and assembled a doll house with mini furnitures.
MicroEcokit
MicroEcoKit is an engaging environmental education and an accompanying constructivist toy kit that aims to promote playful and interactive environmental education for children that help them to learn and respect other species on earth, to learn about human impact on the environment, and to learn about basics of ecosystem and biodiversity.
Art Wonderland
Art Wonderland aims to involve children in rural area into Art Education by providing them with virtual museum visiting experiences. The inspiration of the project came from my volunteer teaching at an isolated island in China.
Ant Adventure
Ant Adventure is an educational game that engages people to learn about ecommerce security. I conducted a user study session with 15 users to identify the design iterations for the previous version and redesigned the game with new game structure, game elements, user flow, and UI interfaces.
Smith College Learning Space Assessment
This analysis of Smith Space Usage focused on evaluating utilization rates, technology deployment, campus geography and the physical condition of classroom spaces.
The goal of this study is to identify potential methods to support faculty with their diverse pedagogy and enhance student learning experiences.
Voice-controlled Games
We ideated, prototyped and developed two voice control games using python to help children control their voice volumes. We aimed to investigate the possibilities of using the games for voice therapy.
Muller-lyer Experiement
This experiment aims to understand whether Muller-lyer visual illusion affect people’s estimation of value on range sliders. We developed an experiment website and tested it with people recruited from AmazonTurk.
Run Lora Run
Run Lora Run is an educational game that teaches computer science concepts in a fun way. Users need to answer the CS questions correctly to hep the character Lora get to the destination within the time limit. The game is implemented in Python.
3D Voronoi diagram
We used 3D Delaunay Triangulation Algorithm to triagulate a 3d point set, then extract Voronoi diagram from delaunay triangulation. The project is implemented in processing.
