Collaborative STEM Learning at Scale
With the development of digital technologies, STEM has pervaded every part of our lives and STEM education will be benificial for people of all age groups. Not only will they be benifited from learning new knowledge and skills necessary for work and living, but also be more aware of technologies they use daily. Given that people with various backgrounds have different levels of opportunities, resources, experiences, and interests, how to involve learners in STEM at scale and how to make collaborations between learners effective are the two questions I want to investigate.

My research has two folds. First, I want to study and design effective methods and tools to engage learnres in STEM learning at scale. Second, I want to investigate how learners collaborate on the platforms.

Sense, Move, Play, Make, and Learn
Typically, we sit at the table to learn, but we spend far more time daily doing other things, like using our senses to feel the world, moving our hands and bodies in different ways, playing sports together with friends, or making and building things. I am interested in investigating how people learn outside of traditional learning settings. More specifically, I want to investigate how to leverage technologies, such as Augmented Reality and Physical Toolkits, for embodied learning and maker education.
